Many people are involved in the real estate transaction. Your realtor will coordinate the effort to get all involved to work together for a smooth closing.

- Loan Officer- takes the application and gives choices of programs
- Loan Processor- assembles all the paperwork and stays on top of application
- Underwriter- gives approval for the loan
- Credit Company- Sends credit report to loan company
- Appraiser- does an appraisal on the house to make sure it is worth purchase price
- Insurance Agent- Guides buyer in choices for insurance on the home
- Home Inspector- usually hired by the buyer to inspect the home to see what condition the house is in.
- Pest Inspector- usually a pest inspection is required by lender in SC to make sure there are no termite problems.
- Attorney- Represents the buyer in SC to close the transaction
- Title Insurance Co.- Gives insurance to the buyer in case there is any future problem with title to property. Lender requires coverage on their loan amount.
